On behalf of our colleagues on the organizing committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 1st International Conference of FACO in Xiamen, September 26, 2013. The theme is improve the standard of cancer treatment through the cooperate studies. The 1st International Conference of FACO will be in conjunction with the16th CSCO(Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology) Annual Meeting.
FACO was established in accordance of consensus of JSCO, CSCO, and KACO in February 2012. The ultimate goal of the FACO is to improve the standard of cancer treatment through the cooperate studies on more effective therapeutic strategies based on drugs, surgery and/or radiotherapy that are already in use and also through the development of new drugs and other innovative approaches in Asian Pacific area. The conference will focus on cancer as a global challenge with the aim of improving the cure rate as well as the quality of life of cancer patients especially in Asian region.
Xiamen is a beautiful coastal city nestling along the southeastern China. You will enjoy a leisure time in the charming beach of Gulangyu Island. Autumn is also the golden season in this area and good for sightseeing.

Program and speakers
An advanced version of the program will be available soon. Distinguished leading oncologists from Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, and other Asian countries will present recent study results and have already confirmed their participation in the program as moderators and speakers.
The FACO 2013 will summarize advances in cancer control, change of treatment strategies, new drugs in the management of lung cancer, gastro-intestinal tract cancer, breast cancer and lymphomas, with the objective to project more effective control strategies in the new century, and will offer ample time to exchange experiences in:
l Trends of Cancer Control
l Translational Research from Laboratory Bench to Hospital Beds
l Targeted Therapy towards Individualization
l Multimodality Treatment
l Development of Clinical Oncology in Asian Countries

Call for abstracts
Abstracts within the scope of FACO 2013 are welcome. The deadline for online abstract submission is July 1, 2013. Accepted abstracts will be scheduled for poster presentation. Abstract submissions will be reviewed by FACO’s scientific leadership prior to the Symposium. Authors of top abstracts will be invited on stage to present their research.
